New computers should be exciting. In reality, they often ship with trial software, unnecessary apps, odd defaults, and updates that are not fully finished.

New PC Setup and Data Transfer is a remote service for Windows PCs. We configure the new system properly, remove junk, install what you actually use, and transfer your data from the old PC so you can get back to life. The goal is a clean “everything works” finish.

What’s included

  • Windows setup and updates
    Finish initial setup, create or confirm accounts, and make sure Windows updates are current. We also verify device basics like storage, audio, and networking.

  • Bloatware removal and cleanup
    Remove common factory bloat, trials, and preinstalled “helper” apps. Clean up startup items so the new PC boots fast and stays responsive.

  • Essential software setup
    Install and configure common apps you need (browser, Office or LibreOffice, PDF reader, Zoom or Teams, and similar). Game launchers (Steam, Epic, Battle.net) can be added if desired.

  • Data transfer (local, not over the internet)
    Transfer key data from the old PC to the new one, such as Documents, Desktop, Downloads, and media folders (as requested). We also help migrate items like browser bookmarks, saved passwords when export/import is supported, and email profiles where feasible.

  • Email and printer setup
    Configure email clients if you use them (Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail, and similar). Help set up printers and scanners (USB or network).

  • Security baseline
    Verify the system is updated and protected. If you purchased Home Antivirus from us, we can install and configure it during setup.

  • Final verification and recap
    Confirm core apps work, the system feels right, and nothing obvious is missing. Provide a simple summary of what was moved and what was set up.

What we need from you

  • A new Windows PC and your old PC available during the session

  • A stable internet connection for remote setup

  • You present to approve the remote session (you are always in control)

  • Any logins you want configured (Microsoft account, email, Office, etc.)

  • An external USB drive (hard drive or SSD) for local data transfer

How it works (remote)

  1. Purchase New PC Setup and Data Transfer.

  2. A technician contacts you to schedule setup.

  3. You connect the external drive and we guide the transfer process.

  4. We remove bloat, finish updates, install essential apps, and move your files.

  5. We verify email, printing, and core apps, then provide a quick recap.

Requirements and limits

  • Windows only. We do not support macOS.

  • Local transfer required for larger data moves. We do not use remote tools or cloud sync as the primary method for large transfers.

  • If you do not have an external drive, we can still set up the PC, but data transfer may be limited or postponed.

Recommended drive size: Use a drive at least as large as the data you want to move. Most people are happiest with 1TB. An SSD is faster, but a normal external HDD works fine.

Notes and limits

  • This service focuses on setup and data migration. If your old PC is failing (bad drive, crashing, will not boot), data recovery may require a different approach.
