New PC Setup & Data Transfer (Business)

Set up a new business workstation the right way, migrate data, and get it ready for work — fast.

Business PCs are higher-stakes. A sloppy setup turns into lost time, sync problems, security gaps, and “why can’t I access the files/printer/email” the moment someone sits down to work. This service gets a new Windows PC configured properly for a business environment, moves data from the old machine, installs required software, and confirms everything works before you call it “done.”

This is a remote service performed by PCRepair.us using Splashtop.


What’s included

Windows setup + updates

  • Complete initial Windows setup and verify the system is fully updated.

  • Confirm drivers and device basics (network, audio, storage) are stable.

Bloatware removal / cleanup

  • Remove factory trials and preinstalled junk.

  • Clean startup items so the PC boots and runs clean.

Business account and sign-in setup

  • Configure the workstation for your environment (as applicable):

    • Microsoft 365 / Entra ID sign-in

    • Local user accounts and permissions

    • (If you have a domain) join to domain / apply standard access

Email and core productivity

  • Set up email (Outlook/M365/Gmail/etc.).

  • Configure OneDrive/SharePoint sync if your business uses it.

  • Install/configure Office apps and common business tools.

Line-of-business software setup

  • Install required apps (QuickBooks, vendor portals, scanners, label software, VPN clients, remote desktop tools, etc.).

  • Verify licensing/sign-in where applicable (you provide credentials).

Data transfer (local, not over the internet)

  • Transfer business data from the old PC to the new one:

    • Documents/Desktop/Downloads (as requested)

    • Business folders and templates

    • Browser bookmarks and saved passwords (when export/import is available)

  • We prioritize a clean, local transfer to avoid multi-hour internet uploads.

Network + printer access

  • Connect to Wi-Fi/Ethernet properly.

  • Set up network printers/scanners and confirm printing works.

  • Reconnect mapped drives / shared folders (as applicable).

Security baseline

  • Verify updates, Defender status, and basic protection settings.

  • If you purchased our managed antivirus, we install/configure it during setup.

Final verification + handoff

  • Confirm email, files, printers, and core apps are working.

  • Provide a simple recap of what was installed, moved, and configured.

Requirements (important)

  • Windows only. We do not support macOS.

  • External USB hard drive or large USB SSD is strongly recommended for data transfer.

    • We do not rely on remote tools/cloud as the primary method for large data moves.

  • You’ll need access to required credentials/licenses (email, Microsoft 365, VPN, software logins).

  • The PC must be able to connect to the internet for remote service (Splashtop).


How it works

  • Setup is performed remotely using our support tool (Splashtop).

  • After checkout, a technician will contact you to schedule setup ASAP.

  • If you haven’t been contacted within 24 hours, reach out and we’ll get you scheduled.


Notes

If the old PC is failing (bad drive, won’t boot, crashing), data recovery may require a different approach. We’ll tell you plainly what’s realistic and the fastest path forward.
